Cash D60 Air Screw Compressor, Meatworks
Summary:
* Before Roil these screw compressors were having oil and bearing failure.
* Note: In the "Analysis Report" all contaminant levels are all very
low, only <1 to
4 microns. Oil is normally changed every 1,000 hrs for these compressors. This
test is after 2,000 hrs, with very lttle wear to metal and the oil is in good
condition. At this stage the factory was aiming to run the next trial for 3,000 hrs.
Savings Summary:
* Savings of 1,000 litres of oil were achieved because of extended oil
life. (These savings have been costed out at around $2,000 plus, as oil was charged
at $2.10 per litre. Also, there is the environmental savings, which hasn't been able
to be costed yet, but no doubt present and future generations will be greatful for less
oil comsumption.)
* The cost of adding Roil. This amounted to less than $3,450 (Retail)
for the 1st treatment, and $1,150 (Retail) for the 2nd and subsequent treatments.
This cost is for treating the 4 compressors, so the Meatworks are still ahead $950.
* Unexpected savings in electricity expenses of %5,900 over 12 months between
the 4 screw compressors.
* Reduced long-term cost of wear and tear, down time, etc. These $$
savings are unknown but must of course show eventually in the profit and loss statements.
A large Darling Downs Meat Works in QLD Australia now uses Roil in their massive Screw
Compressors that run pneumatic equipment on their production line and workshops. The
test results are from their own independent test records, as given below in table 1.

Above figures do not include GST
*1. Oil Changes have been extended as much as 3,000
hrs
*2. Before Roil 10.4 oil changes per year now reduced to 3.5 oil changes per year, for
each of the 4 compressors.
*3. 21 litres per year of Roil @ recommended retail = $1,050. This is after first
treatment & is at a ratio of 1:24
*4. 10 to 15 amps savings have been recorded. This happened due to the reduction in
heat and friction, thus resulting in these electricity savings. (These savings are
still there even 2000/3000 hours beyond the normal life of the oil). |
