of Vitamin B6.
Vitamin B6 is also required by the body to regulate cholesterol levels, manufacture red
blood cells and haemoglobin, maintain a balance of minerals, the production of digestive
juices and for nervous system function.
For the body to utilize vitamin B12 you must also have sufficient vitamin B6.
Some of the significant food sources that contain vitamin B6 are rice bran, molasses, soya
flour, bananas and brewers yeast.
All of the B vitamins should be taken together to avoid deficiency symptoms developing,

and magnesium.
The requirements of vitamin B6 may need to be increased further if you:- smoke, drink

drugs such as antacids, oral contraceptives, oestrogens, diuretics and some antibiotics.
With vitamin B6 there is no know toxicity, however if high doses are taken late in the
day, this vitamin may cause night restlessness and / or vivid dream recall.
